Fukushima Slideshow

someone I don't know happy about animoto
Our group made a slide show using Audacity and AnimotoHere is the slide show.  It wasn't really difficult and with practice, it wouldn't take so long to make a short slide show. What is nice is that music and voice over could be combined using Audacity to make a new sound wave.
In the end, we still hadn't figured out how to make the pictures and sound information synchronize how we would have liked. Again, with experience, it would be fine.
If I did use Animoto/Audacity in the classroom, the students would have to be prepared on the topic and content (music and photos) they wanted to present before coming to class to record/produce the slide show in order to better make use of the classroom time. A double class time would work best for this assignment with enough preparation and then another 1-2 classes to present, discuss, etc. It is a great teaching idea to let the pupils get creative and the possibilities of topics is limitless.
