Comment on Online Teaching Ideas: Sporcle.com

The online teaching ideas we looked at in class, like the quiz website sporcle and the story telling site storybird. I especially enjoyed the Sporcle quizzes and my following week was spent trying to test my knowledge. I would definitely use both of these in class.  (I will expain storybird further on my Teaching Ideas #1 page here.)
The variety of quizzes offered on Sporcle.com is perfect for the classroom, since everyone can find something they are interested in. Quizzes especially for comparing British and American English, in both vocabulary and orthography,are available; as well as geographical quizzes which would not only help test vocabularies, but can certainly be seen as cross-subject training. Well worth a look in.
